At Keramik New York we use a Skutt KM-1027 which holds up to 7 cubic feet. We bisque fire to cone 04 (1945 degrees F) and glaze fire to cone 6 (2232 degrees F)
Full kiln bisque or glaze firing rate is $300 per firing.
Please pack your dry greenware or bisqueware and purchase the full kiln option to fire. Fill out the form and drop your pieces off at the studio. Do not forget to sign your creations at the bottom to be able to identify your pieces. We will text you when your pieces are ready to be picked up. Usually within a week.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL CLAY AND GLAZE MATERIALS MUST BE RATED FOR CONE 6. WE DO NOT ACCEPT MATERIALS RATED FOR CONE 06. IT WILL MELT AND DAMAGE OUR EQUIPMENT. You will be subject to fines for any damage caused by submitting improper clay or glaze materials.
Our studio clay and glazes as well as clay sold in our shop are rated to cone 6 and pre-approved for firing. All other materials need to be pre-approved before firing before you submit your work. You might be asked to send a sales receipt for the clay or glaze product and a corresponding link.
